A new Meizu battery with model number BA468 has been approved by the 3C certification platform in China, featuring a rated value of 5,400mAh. Based on previous Meizu devices, this could translate to a typical value of approximately 5,500mAh. This information alone is not enough to confirm that the battery will be used for a new smartphone, but it does provide an intriguing clue.
Digital Chat Station (DCS), a well-known tipster, has shared details of an upcoming Meizu phone on Weibo. Although the name of the device was not explicitly mentioned, the use of a specific emoji strongly suggests that this could be a brand-new Meizu phone. The device is rumored to come with a Snapdragon ai chipset, a flat display, and will be accompanied by a UP2033 power adapter supporting 66W fast charging.
Meizu has historically catered to various price ranges in the Chinese market. However, over the past year, they have shifted their focus exclusively towards flagship smartphones powered by Snapdragon 8-series chipsets. Although there are conflicting reports about the upcoming device’s specific chipset (be it Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3), one thing is certain – Meizu seems intent on delivering a powerful new device.
If the rumors are true, this mysterious Meizu phone could be a new addition to the Meizu 21 series. Some Weibo users have suggested that it will be called the Meizu 21x when it eventually makes its debut in the Chinese market.
